Cape Breton Environmental Funeral Urns

Linda Doyon and Joanne Fitzgerald, of Smelt Brook Studio, produce stoneware pottery funeral urns whose decorative themes are based upon northern Cape Breton's environment.

We feature these urns separate form other work in the gallery because they are produced only on a custom-order basis, and only at certain times of the year... from June through October.

Linda and Joanne produce unglazed urns in the late spring and only apply the decorative glazes and brushwork once an urn has been ordered and its glaze design confirmed.

All standard Smelt Brook Studio glazes and brushwork are available, including the studio's extremely popular Cape Breton Environmentals line of moose, eagles, shorebirds, whales and other features of northern Cape Breton's mountains-to-seacoast environment.

Shipping time from June through October is approximately two weeks after the order is placed.  Orders placed at other times of the year are shipped during the month of June.
