Kari Fell

Kari Fell is an artist who lives and works in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She grew up in the North of Canada, in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut and spent almost 20 years in Alberta. All these places show up in her art.

Kari attended the Alberta College of Art in Calgary (now ACAD) from 1986-1990 where she majored in drawing and then textiles. She continues to work in these media and is also painting in watercolour and acrylics. Currently Kari is exploring her new home of Cape Breton and adding to her reference material for a new series of landscape paintings. She now has room for all her looms and is weaving colourful textiles for clothing and home use. Kari works out of her home studio in Cape Breton. She enjoys meeting and chatting with customers and welcomes them into her studio/gallery.
